Studio Owner, Lana House, first discovered Pilates more than two decades ago while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Immersed in the art of movement, she trained in everything from Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do to hip-hop, ballet, tap, and jazz. A dedicated yogi at the time, Lana once imagined pursuing a career in yoga—until she took her first Pilates class. The experience was unlike anything she had ever tried, and she was instantly hooked.

After graduating and returning to California, Lana completed her comprehensive certification with Shari Berkowitz through Power Pilates and has been teaching ever since. In 2024, she deepened her expertise by completing a second program with Shari, gaining advanced knowledge in applying modern biomechanics to make Pilates even safer and more effective. Over the years, Lana has worked with an incredibly diverse range of clients—from athletes, actors, dancers, and executives to teenagers, new mothers, and individuals managing chronic pain. Her philosophy is simple: Pilates is for everyone.

Outside the studio, Lana treasures time with her family. You’ll often find her cheering at her boys’ baseball games, walking her dog Bailey, or enjoying new adventures with her husband and friends. During COVID, she took up both tennis and surfing—two passions that further revealed how Pilates had prepared her body to stay strong, flexible, and injury-free in an active lifestyle. A believer in whole-body wellness, she also loves visiting the weekly farmers market and preparing healthy, quick meals for her family.

For Lana, Pilates is more than exercise—it’s a way of living that enhances every activity she enjoys and transforms the lives of her students.
