About The Owner
Studio Owner, Lana House, fell in love with Pilates over a decade ago while attending New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. As part of her education, Lana took many classes in movement, with everything from Tai Chi and Tai Kwon Do, to hip-hop, ballet, tap and jazz. As an avid yogi, Lana was interested in one day pursuing a career in yoga...until she discovered Pilates. Pilates was unlike anything she had ever tried before and once she took her first class, she was immediately hooked!
Upon graduating college and moving back to California, Lana began her teacher education through Power Pilates, the world's largest teacher trainer program, and has been teaching ever since. Lana has worked with men and women of all ages, including: athletes, actors, dancers, entertainment professionals, corporate executives with conditions ranging from injured, pregnant and elderly to perfectly healthy bodies. Pilates can be done by all!
As a first time mom in 2012, Lana had a very healthy 42 week pregnancy followed by a short, completely natural delivery. She attributes her easy, healthy pregnancy and delivery to her prenatal Pilates workouts that she continued to do until the day she went into labor. Postpartum, Pilates helped immensely to slim back down and regain the energy and strength she had before becoming a mom.
As fitness and health continue to be her greatest passion aside from her family, Lana spends much of her free time discovering new fitness classes, practicing yoga, golfing with her husband and chasing after her toddler. She is constantly amazed by the way Pilates improves every activity she enjoys; it is the perfect foundation for it all!
